Terms of use

The ground rules of DomiReno

These terms describe what you can expect from DomiReno and what we expect from you. The tone is deliberately formal — because it counts legally — but we keep it as readable as possible. By using DomiReno you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to them.

1. Who are the parties?

DomiReno is offered by:

Company:
WR Consulting BV
Address:
Broustinlaan 36 bus Ssrc, 1090 Jette
Company number:
1018.567.009
Contact:
contact@domireno.be

Hereinafter “DomiReno” or “we”. You are “the user” or “you” — either as a private individual or on behalf of a company you are legally entitled to bind.

2. What DomiReno is and isn’t

What DomiReno is: an online tool to estimate a minimum renovation budget based on your own choices, with a transparent overview per category and an estimate of the subsidies available in your region.

What it is not: not a quote, not a tender specification, not construction advice, not financial advice, not a guarantee on prices, timelines or permits. The amounts are estimates based on publicly available market figures; the actual cost of your project may differ substantially. You remain responsible for obtaining quotes from contractors, architects or financial advisors before making decisions.

Geographic scope: DomiReno is designed and calibrated for residential properties located in Belgium. Our pricing sources, grant engines (Mijn VerbouwPremie, Renolution, Primes Habitation) and EPC/PEB regulatory regimes reflect the Belgian market. Pro purchases for properties outside Belgium are not possible — our estimate would not be reliable for such a property. Anyone who nevertheless attempts to obtain a Pro unlock for a non-BE property through direct API calls or a misstated country accepts that no refund can be claimed on the basis of geographic unsuitability.

3. Account and use

The wizard works entirely anonymously — an account is only needed to keep projects across multiple sessions or to purchase Pro features. Authentication goes through Clerk; you can sign in with email or via a supported identity provider.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided and for keeping your credentials secret. If you suspect misuse, you can delete your account at any time from the profile page.

One account per user is permitted. Accounts are not transferable.

4. Permitted and prohibited use

DomiReno may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes or to prepare your own renovation project on behalf of a client (e.g. as an architect or project coordinator). In both cases the user remains responsible for interpreting the figures correctly.

Explicitly not allowed:

  • Automated scraping (bots, headless browsers) other than via the official endpoints we have documented.
  • Reverse engineering, decompilation or attempts to reconstruct the source code or the internal pricing engine beyond the limits of mandatory Belgian law.
  • Reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the service or the reports generated by DomiReno as a standalone product.
  • Circumventing or attacking technical protections, including rate-limiting, authentication checks or the site-lockdown basic-auth.
  • Any use that breaks the law or harms the rights of third parties (IP infringement, privacy, public morals).

In case of violation we can suspend access immediately without prior notice, without prejudice to our right to damages.

5. Intellectual property

The software, the pricing models, the formulas, the texts, the icon selections and the visual identity of DomiReno are owned by WR Consulting BV or its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers IP rights to you.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the duration of your use of the service, within the limits of §4.

Documents you upload (e.g. EPC certificate, photos) remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process those documents for the purpose of delivering the service (see privacy policy).

6. Pro unlock, price and payment

The basic wizard with a total budget, region check and most comparison options is free. If you want the full per-category breakdown, the subsidy estimate per item and the PDF export, you can purchase a one-off Pro unlock for 29 (VAT included), per project.

Payment is handled via Stripe. We do not receive any card details. The contract for the digital content is concluded at the moment Stripe confirms the payment and we activate the unlock on your project.

Right of withdrawal (art. VI.47 ff. Belgian Code of Economic Law): DomiReno Pro is digital content delivered immediately after payment. In accordance with art. VI.53, 13° Belgian Code of Economic Law, you expressly consent that performance starts immediately and confirm that you lose your right of withdrawal as soon as the unlock is activated. This express consent is requested at checkout and is required to unlock Pro.

Price changes apply only to future Pro unlocks; already purchased unlocks remain valid for the project they are tied to. A Pro unlock is not transferable between projects or between accounts.

Refund on technical failure: when Pro functionality does not work due to a fault on our side and we cannot resolve the problem within a reasonable time, we refund the purchase amount via the original payment method.

7. Limitation of liability

DomiReno makes reasonable efforts to keep the service available and the content accurate, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free figures. The service is provided “as is”, based on publicly available construction cost indicators that by definition evolve.

Save in the event of intent, fraud or gross negligence by DomiReno itself, and save for damage to the physical integrity of persons, our liability per loss is limited to the amount you paid DomiReno in the twelve months preceding the damaging event for the project concerned, with a maximum of 29.

Under no circumstances do we accept liability for indirect damage such as missed savings, lost profits, reputational or goodwill damage, or delay damage resulting from decisions you make based on a DomiReno estimate without independent verification (quotes, building inspection report, financial advice).

Nothing in this clause is intended to limit liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Belgian law.

8. Force majeure

If an event beyond our reasonable control (outage of a hosting or payment provider, cyberattack, government decree, natural disaster) prevents us from delivering the service, our obligation is suspended for the duration of that event, with no compensation due. In the event of continuing force majeure of more than thirty consecutive days, either party may terminate the agreement free of charge; Pro unlocks already paid for but not yet delivered will be refunded.

9. Personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by our privacy policy. For the cookies and local storage we use, see the cookie notice. Both documents are an integral part of this agreement.

10. Duration and termination

The agreement lasts as long as you use the service. You can terminate it free of charge at any time by deleting your account or simply by no longer using the service. Pro unlocks remain active for the project they are linked to, even after account termination — if you want to reopen the project on a new account, this is possible via export/import of the project in question.

We may terminate the agreement with immediate effect in case of violation of §4 (prohibited use), non-payment, or a serious breach of these terms. In that case, Pro unlocks already paid for but not yet delivered will be refunded, unless termination results from fraud or misuse.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms, for example when new features are launched or when legislation changes. Substantial changes are announced at least thirty days in advance by email to existing accounts and via a clearly visible notice in the app. If you disagree with a change, you can terminate the agreement free of charge before the effective date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Applicable law and competent court

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed exclusively by Belgian law, with the exclusion of the Vienna Sales Convention (CISG).

We first try to resolve any dispute amicably — send a clearly formulated complaint to contact@domireno.be and we reply within a reasonable time.

Failing resolution, for consumers the courts of the consumer’s place of residence are competent (in accordance with mandatory consumer law). For other users, the courts of the judicial district where the registered office of WR Consulting BV is located are exclusively competent.

As a consumer, you also have access to the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Final provisions

If any provision of these terms is wholly or partly null or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions. The null provision is replaced by a valid provision that most closely approximates the economic purpose of the original.

DomiReno’s failure to enforce a right under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right for the future.

These terms, together with the privacy policy, the cookie notice and the specific conditions shown during checkout, constitute the entire agreement between you and DomiReno and replace any prior agreement on the same subject.

14. Contact

Questions, complaints or comments can be directed to contact@domireno.be. Legal identification details (capital, registered office, insurance) are in the legal notice.
